Partners reviewed progress achieved in the second half of 2019

Last week, on 11 and 12 December, PANORAMED partners gathered in Zagreb (Croatia) for the 6th Steering Group Meeting. It was a productive set of sessions where partners reviewed progress achieved over the second half of the year.

The leader of PANORAMED Work Package on Mainstreaming presented their draft final report of the mainstreaming experimentation, while the leader of the Thematic Working Group on Coastal and Maritime Tourism proposed coordination modalities with the newly approved Strategic Projects on this field and on Maritime Surveillance. The Communications Team presented the draft Communication plan for 2020, and Partners responsible for Methodologies and Evaluation explained a set of guidelines for the identification of national and regional stakeholders. Innovation leaders, for their part, presented a Gaps and Growth Opportunities Report in their area and the latest developments for the launch of future Strategic Projects. Partners then discussed the preparation of upcoming events and the drafting of policy recommendations to present in the coming months.

The Meeting concluded with an overview of the next steps for PANORAMED. The crucial milestone in early 2020 will be the Joint meeting with the Mediterranean Community (PANORAMED Thematic Working Groups, Associated Partners, and Interreg MED Programme’s Horizontal and Strategic Projects). This event, which will take place on 19 February in Madrid (Spain), will represent a unique opportunity to exchange ideas on how to improve Mediterranean multilevel governance in the areas of sustainable tourism, maritime surveillance and innovation. Another major event for the participants will be the Panoramed Dialogues to be held in Athens (Greece) in late April.
