Challenges and opportunities
Next 30 November, a brainstorming meeting specifically devoted to tourism will take place at the venue of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) in Barcelona. It is the first time that the institution tackles this topic from a general point of view and not linked as a transversal task to other significant topics as climate change.
The UfM special envoy for tourism has invited the Italian Agency for Territorial Cohesion to attend the meeting as national authority and as partner of PANORAMED. The event will, in fact, gather technical experts to share knowledge, best practices, exchange views on regional policies, and formulate areas of cooperation especially for tourism job creation, education, training, start-ups and environmental protection. This engaging event will bring together tourism stakeholders, decision-makers, members of the academia and the private sector from a broad Mediterranean participation, providing an optimal platform to network and interact.
