The 2nd Steering Committee of the Project BEST MED will take place the next 3rd-4th June 2020. The meeting will be held online due to the Covid-19 emergency.

The 2nd Steering Committee of the PANORAMED Strategic Project BEST MED will be held remotely on 3rd and 4th June 2020, due to the global public health crisis. This second meeting followed the kick-off conference of the project and the 1st Steering Committee which took place in Malta last 30th and 31st January 2020.

In spite of the special circumstances that are being experienced at the moment, the partners have not stopped the implementation of the activities planned by the project. During the two days foreseen, the partners will have the opportunity to review the tasks carried out so far as well as to study the next steps to be taken.

The first day will be dedicated to reviewing WP1 (Management) and WP2 (Communication) by the Leader Partner (Andalusian Public Foundation El legado andalusí). The Project Officer of the project will take part in the conference to explain the reorganisation that the program has undergone due to the Covid-19 crisis. Another important part of this day will be devoted to the Financial Reporting issues.

Thursday, 4th June, will be dedicated to review the future actions of the rest of the workpackages of the project: Studying, Testing, Transferring and Capitalising. Specially WP3 (Studying) whose first studies will be exposed to the rest of the partners by Lazio Region. Each responsible partner will have the opportunity to present the actions planned in the coming months.

At the end of the second day there will be a session dedicated to “Brainstorming and contributions” about how to adapt the face-to-face activities included in the project by others due to the COVID 19 situation in the following months, risks related to the COVID emergency on the implementation of the next activities, possible solutions and proposals for risk mitigation. All the partners will have the chance to illustrate the state-of-the-art of the project and discuss on how to proceed.

These two days will be attended by representatives of all the project partners from Portugal, Spain Italy, France, Greece, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia and Malta.
