The decisional body of the PANORAMED project held its extraordinary meeting in Lisbon

Last 18 and 19 February, the extraordinary Steering Group meeting of PANORAMED took place in Lisbon (Portugal). During the session, partners had the opportunity to exchange information and share their views on the key milestones reached throughout these last months.

After the finalisation of the Terms of References (ToRs), a hard work was done on the selection of potential candidates for strategic projects, which reflects the governance top-down approach. Further discussions took place during the meeting on the best methodology to follow for the achievement of a successful partnership conformation. Once this matter will be revisited and clarified next 7 and 8 March on the occasion of the MED Programme Capitalization event in Thessaloniki, a transnational applicant seminar will be organised to get all actors prepared for the call opening on Coastal and Maritime Tourism and Maritime Surveillance.

With regards to the other two strategic themes, a presentation was made on their state of play. The Thematic Working Group on Innovation is expected to start running this month and its six-step methodological framework will be prepared and launched during the Innovation Camp held in Barcelona next 17 and 18 October. Innovation policies and practices will be also identified for the social inclusion of migrants and their labour market integration.

Overall, it was a successful meeting which evidences the shared interest of all members of the Steering Group in coming up with good cooperation projects that can make a real difference in the Mediterranean region.
