Who we are
PANORAMED will support and enhance a multilevel and multisector discussion forum at Mediterranean scale with the overarching objective to support informed policy making processes at transnational and national level.
In this framework the identification and exploitation of synergies and complementarities with the main institutions and initiatives active in the Mediterranean represents a key process all along the project implementation.
With a total of 21 partners, PANORAMED is composed by Ministries and Regions coming from 12 participating States of the MED Programme (12 country coordinators and 8 partner directly involved in the operational Work Packages). They work as a platform of national and regional authorities, through transnational thematic working groups involving strategic key actors, to identify shared policy approaches and strategic top down projects.
Additionally, associated partners from Mediterranean, EU and UN institutions complement the partnership scheme and comprise the main actors and initiatives and strategies present in the basin. Indeed the PANORAMED partnership is complemented by an associated partners’ scheme: DG REGIO, DG MARE and DG NEAR will accompany the overall process.
